In the natural world, the physical Sun serves as a vital force for growth. Its energizing rays enable plants to flourish, allowing trees to reach toward the heavens. Solar energy also plays a transformative role, evaporating water into clouds that later produce new expressions of the same energy—thunder and lightning. Rain from the heavens nourishes and hydrates the plant and vegetable kingdoms, sustaining life.
This cycle extends to the animal and human kingdoms, which rely on plants for nourishment, promoting physical growth. Yet, growth manifests not only in physical forms but also in more subtle realms, particularly mental and intellectual growth. This is most evident in humans, who constantly strive to enhance their understanding through learning trades, mastering skills, studying languages, and uncovering the nature of reality.
For many, the Sun is seen only in its physical aspect: a celestial body that fosters growth, provides warmth, and energizes our bodies for daily tasks. However, with deeper awareness, one can perceive beyond the physical Sun to recognize its spiritual counterpart—the invisible Sun. This spiritual Sun bestows self-awareness and intuition. In humans, it manifests as self-awareness, while in animals, it appears as instinctual awareness. The Sun’s presence allows reflection upon ourselves and fosters practices that engage the mind—such as self-observation, imagination, and conscious thinking—which help to transcend the mechanical nature of our animalistic instincts.
Those who can pierce beyond mundane appearances glimpse the causal plane and the superior dimensions from which all physical forms originate. This is the realm of divine purpose, where we encounter the universal Great Spirit—a personal, intelligent, omnipotent presence that illuminates both our inner and outer worlds. From the One emerges the triad of creation: Mother, Father, and Child. These three aspects are the foundation of all beings.
The Great Spirit nurtures creation, much like a mother nurtures her child, by offering love, guidance, rewards for virtue, and discipline for missteps. This nurturing is perfectly balanced by mercy and justice. The motherly and fatherly qualities we see expressed on Earth are but a reflection of the transcendent Love and Wisdom that flow from our Heavenly Father and Mother. Though they are one, their expressions remain distinct, embodying the harmonious duality of creation.
