Animal sacrifice in ancient text were allegories for man sacrificing his animal nature. The various different animals represent different aspects of our lower nature. Some animals represent aspects of our intelligence or divine qualities however the animals that are sacrificed represent lower aspects of our being.
Sacrificing the lamb has much symbolism aside from its astrological correspondences. One Aries character is prideful, stubborn, impatient and at times violent hence it is ruled by mars. When we sacrifice the ram we are subduing the animal impulse, by doing this we are creating a charge, we are sacrificing the animal in the fire of the spinal column. The energy rises to the head and allegorically slays the lamb. Aries rules the head.
When we are speaking of slaying an Ox we are speaking of our materialistic nature that wants to own and attain things. greedm , lust and , gluttony. When the lower aspects of the animal nature are sacrificed in the altar within the positive aspects of the animal reign supreme. We then become , gentalas lambs, but courageous in reaching our spiritual goals like a ram, we become hard working and diligent like the bull. Everything has there polarities and psychological, astrological properties.
“Blessed is the lion which becomes man when consumed by man; and cursed is the man whom the lion consumes, and the lion becomes man.” Jesus Christos
This statement is referring to man eating the lion and overcoming the lower animal nature so that the lion transmutes in to a higher form man, or the energetic potency is transmuted into the superior nature. The opposite of this would be if the Lion or animal nature consumes man and then man becomes a lion.
King Solomon is in man. Solomon first and foremost is the Sun, crowned and draped in purple as the sun is in Aries. Purple was given to royalty because the sun is purple in the spring, the crown chakra is also purple as well as the highest color on the light spectrum. IN the picture he is looking to the right side where spring resides in higher consciousness the right hemisphere of the brain. The right brains is the feminine receptive mind of man and is able to pick up on truths intuitively. When we cast our nets to the right we are being receptive to message from the superior dimensions and open to influence form higher realms to move into right action. He is seated between the two pillars of mercy and severity or action and reception, one who thinks before one speaks, listens before one responds. This signifies how we must become depolarized from the antagonizing opposites. Solomon represents the wise consciousness in you, not the one that is jealous, not the one who is spiteful, confused , nor anxious, but the one who cast out these lower demons as in the allegory of King solomon. This being represents and produces the higher consciousness that seeks understanding, and wisdom, and love.
The bible is layered with 7 ways of seeing each of the dramas. Physically speaking tKing Solomon represents the neocortex, the cerebrum, the optical thalamus, the third eye.( The higher faculties found in the brain of man) Notice he’s draped in purple representing the crown chakra. Jesus is also draped in purple showing the Sun in spring.in the picture above he has discarded the false paradigm, or the lesser programs and is now rewriting and making his own detailed consciousness to live from a higher sense of purpose or a paradigm that is more aligned with the universal laws. Above him of course is 12, the 12 zodiac and the 12 cranial nerves corresponding to the 12 intelligences in you. This is not a historical man of the past in and of itself but is the higher soul in you which crystallized once one has become balanced and has raised above the mundane, carnal way of life and into the divine. One who has cast demons out of their own personal temple of solomon which is non other than the human body.
Manly P Hall states in the Secret Teachings of All Ages
Solomon the spirit of universal illumination -mental spiritual, moral and physical- is personified in the king of an earthly nation While a great ruler by that name may have built a temple, he who considers the story solely from its historical angle will never clear away the rubbish, that covers up the secret vaults.
The Temple of Solomon on the physical level is the human body and mind. From the the celestial perspective it is the vault of the heavens and the solar orb that builds and forms creation.
